My ever-so-elegant lace list...

I absolutely love lace. Unfortunately, the lace gowns did not work on my body. I did try on numerous lace gowns just for fun. Among all, I have to say that Monique Lhuillier, Christos, and Jim Hjelm really did lace well and their gowns fit my body perfectly. Here's my pick for the lace look in Fall 2012 collection.

by Christos
The one-shoulder design gives this asymmetrical gown a "balanced" look with the feminine and soft touch off-should lace. This is a tier-look done well! You wouldn't feel like you are a wedding cake.

by Christos
One-should is sexy; sweetheart neckline is oh-so-chic. The combination of the two makes this dress innocent, sweet, and fun. This sheath gown with high-waist design elongates the body as it adds a flirty bow on the side.

by Jim Hjelm
This is a classic Jim Hjelm lace design that's timeless and beautiful. The dip v-neck gives indefinite fantasy yet the lace is so elegant and flowy. I am not a sleeve person, but these lace sleeves really make the dress even sexier.

by Marchesa
This dress is so chi-pao! The lace overlay with cap sleeves shows just the right amount of what needs to be shown. This dress can be both traditional/conservative and modern/flirty.

by Monique Lhuillier
Her lace+trumpet dress keeps appearing every year. I tried on one of the similar dress of hers and that dress was amazing and fit me so well - it's really like a 2nd layer of skin. This dress is yet another elegant and fun dress that maintains the classic look of lace.

by Oscar de la Renta
How chic is this dress! The lace design adds the unexpected element to this taffeta silk skirt. And because of the lace, this dress does not feel heavy at all.

My chic and glamorous picks...

Fresh off the runway from the Bridal Fashion Week, here's my chic and glamorous picks for Fall 2012.

by Amsale
I love the clean look, simple yet sophisticated.

by Jim Hjelm
Short and sparkling. It's for the super confident and no non-sense bride.

by Junko Yoshi
This design has some royal element in it with just a tad bit of princess sleeves to show the sweet and innocent look. Based on my personal experience, her dresses are for petite brides.

by Marchesa
Sleek and chic, this look is so urban sophistication. This is perfect for the city glamor style wedding.

by Marchesa
The feather makes the dress fly! The intricate embroidery design on the chest and sleeves becomes part of the body and make the look understatedly sexy.

by Marchesa
This dress is so architecturally balanced. I never loved any crumb catcher but this one.  It must feel so elegant and romantic in the dress.

by Marchesa
I absolutely love the drapy and soft look of the fabric. Even though it pleats, it does not look heavy at all.

by Marchesa
The weaving style with chiffon and beads makes this dress so glamorously fabulous. It just flows so well from top down.

by Monique Lhuillier
Sharp, determined, glamorous, fearless, sexy....I got all the words that I'd like to be described for this dress.

by Monique Lhuillier
I heart BV. And this dress reminds me of the weaving bag - hey, in a good way though. I love how the dress is so simple in style yet so complex in concept.

Sparkling chic

These sparkles have been on my mind, day and night, for quite a while.

Ode to the old and glamorous...

Working with a designer to create a custom-made dress is an experience that would ignite your creativity. A dress always tells a good story. The story might take you back to the old yet glamorous Hong Kong in the 60s.

A sketch by Kelima K, this dress on paper already gives a fantasy. The design concept is based on Wang Kar-Wei's epic film In The Mood For Love; the actual dress is developed organically inspired by this silk fuschia fabric that is so feminine and chic.

The final product is truly a work of art that gives that glamorous Hong Kong in the 60s a modern definition.
